False colours and Transgressions are now number1 and number 4 on the gay romance list. It looks like False Colors is actually being shipped as it has a review already. (five stars of course)

WELL DONE ALEX!!!

AND - *trumpets*

I’d like to introduce you to my gorgeous new website!

image

It’s utterly gorgeous and was done by the fabulous and talented http://getcesigned.com/ who have a sale on at the moment, and even if they didn’t they are worth every single penny.

They also did Z A Maxfield’s lovely site.

Thank you! This is just about my fourth incarnation, and I really must learn how to work wordpress to a decent level, if it can do pretty things like this.

Thank you - The designer found the picture--she's a real star. Now I feel I just HAve to write something involving thigh length boots.

LOL! The boots are good, and the bloke on the left is a real stunner. Combining the two would be very swoonworthy ;)

Alex, just a heads up here, but on the back cover of yours on the Amazon look-insidey thing, it gives the year as 1662.

You likely already know if there's a problem with this, but I just thought I'd mention it in case.

*g* Thank you! Yes, my editor emailed me a couple of days ago, very apologetically saying 'argh, the date is wrong on the back, but don't worry, we can put that right in the second print run.'

I don't know when the second print run is likely to be, unfortunately, so I'm stuck with it for now. Fortunately just about every chapter inside starts with a header with place and date, so it will say 1762 repeatedly inside (I damn well hope!)

: )

Yes, it does say the right date inside on the first page, they let you read that as well.
Never mind, hopefully most people who read it know the right date.

Fortunately I've now got to the stage of being quite zen about the mistakes. I'll fix them when I can, but for the moment, as there's nothing I can do, I may as well stop worrying ;)

Thank you,

I'm stunned, really. I remember how thrilled I was the first time Standish made it into the 'bestseller' lists (not that they mean anything in terms of high numbers), but that was after the book had been out a few months, not before its release!!

I love the font choice and the color scheme =)
Lots of white spaces = ace.

Paiderastia was always approached as a compliment to heterosexual marriage, but never a substitute.

Shouldn't that be "complement"?

Chiron the centaur was the teacher and lover of the young heroes Perseus, Hercules, Theseus, and Jason.

*brain breaks*

Hercules himself was the erastes of [...] the young Odysseus.

Oh, fun! =D

On this link, your ' and " show up as ?, just to let you know.

BTW, is "Frost Fair" dark? Bear in mind that I found Standish rather dark in places ^^;;

Thank you! I'll amend all the typos and stuff. I had noticed the question marks before but I think they happened as a consequence of transferring the posts from one blog to another, and I can't go back and amend all the entries, it seems to be ok with the new entries thank goodness.

I don't think Frost Fair is very dark, it's a little depressing at the start because it deals with poor people, not just the aristocracy. Transgressions is dark, though.
