feathswebs.comas to why, either.

So many apologies to anyone who goes over there and finds nothing. Normal
service will be resumed as soon as I find out what's going on!

Akamai is dealing with a DDoS attack; the issue is world-wide. Shog says it usually takes about a day for this sort of thing to be cleared up (I've been without Yahoo since just after eight last night, so I'm hopeful about the afternoon).

I'm also a feathsweb customer affected by the outage - could you possibly explain that first part in plainer English?

I don't know who or what Akamai or Shog are or what a DDoS attack is. It sounds like something from a manga, frankly.
