Well, NO, actually.

  1. First off – it’s COLD here . Thick, thick cloud cover all day the rest of the country is having a heat wave and I’m wearing a woolly jumper.
  2. Hay Fever. Eyes streaming today. Optrex on stand by
  3. Mosquitoes.  I’ve been bitten twice, and regular readers will remember that I’m allergic. I have one bite on my wedding ring finger which has swollen up so much it hurts to type with that finger, and the infection has spread into the back of the hand giving me the look of some deformed thing from a Hammer Horror and should be kept in a cellar.  Also two bites on the fleshy part of my upper foot which utterly refuse to be itched to break the skin (the only way I can get them to STOP BLOODY ITCHING) – anyone looking through the window will wonder why I have to leap up from the PC every ten minutes or so and scratch my foot like a mad thing.

No I do not like thee, Summer.

I give you a pointy stick. Good for feet and good for "those are the sort of windows faces appear at!"

*snerk*

I've been waiting for the much-vaunted heat wave myself. Instead, we have fog and cold :(. Mosquitos suck! And autumn FTW!

Mosquito bites and a wooly jumper? Now *I'm* itching.

Hope you get relief soon.

It's hot here, but cloudy and muggy, and pretty cold in the shade. And other people I know around the UK say it's not sunny where they are either. I suspect this "heatwave" thing is some kind of lie!

This afternoon was horrendous. The temperature in the classroom topped 30 and the kids were fractious. In the end we went and sat in he shade of several trees and chilled out for half an hour.

Hopefully you'll get sun tomorrow.

I don't mind 30 degrees as long as I'm not sitting in a hot glass box!!! I took my O levels in one of the hottest summers last century in a glass gymnasium. Horror.

I guess it's living so close to the coast that does it, it's sea mist and cloud.

You are a good teacher for getting them outside.
