Lego Indiana Jones

Lego Indiana Jones is the best game I’ve played in ages. It’s pretty damned funny, and often makes me laugh out loud (Indiana gets captured by the Nazis while chasing the Ark and hands one of them his binoculars, but he’s covered the eyepieces with ink, making the Nazi have circles round his eyes. Yes, not in the film, but hilarious all the same, if you are six in mind, like me.

The only trouble is I have a small TV (as it is supposed to be a bedroom set but my living room one broke) and I have to sit right up next to the screen to really see what’s going on. It needs to be played on a bigger screen, that’s for sure as the characters are tiny and sometimes the camera angle is annoying, but still – pretty funny.  Indy is characteristically scared of snakes and won’t go near them, which makes me giggle nearly every time.

Also, riding Lego Horses is the best fun ever.

Yes yes, i’m writing. don’t nag.

My boy loves the Lego games. I think we'll get the Batman Lego game soon.

I had the Star WArs trilogy on PC (an accident, i meant to buy the PS2 version) but I couldn't cope with all the buttons you had to remember--i'm not used to gaming on the pc, but that looked like huge fun too, so I'll probably rebuy it on PS2. Good time to have a PS2 - the prices go down all the time.

You know what is just as good? Lego Batman. Love love Lego Batman game. Love all the Lego video games.

Also, next year, Lego Harry Potter is being released. I for one cannot wait.

The funniest part about Lego Indiana Jones (IMO) is when you (as Indy) crack your whip at Marion. The whip encircles her waist, pulls her close, and then Indy dips Marion in toe-curling kiss.

It was especially funny the first time I saw it happen. My friend and I were watching her 9 year old son and my 9 year daughter play (as Indy and Marion respectively). My daughter, shocked at being virtually manhandled, made Marion beat up Indy.

Then my daughter realized that the entire exchange had caused my friend and I to laugh hysterically. Wanting to keep "the moms" laughing, she started demanding, "Whip me! Whip me!"
