MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE 2ND SERIES UNDER THE CUT! UK VIEWERS DO NOT READ

*crying inconsolably*

No!

I wanted to get to know Godric better! I had a feeling that he was trying to commit suicide with the Soldiers of the Sun or whatever they were called, someone as powerful as him wouldn't be easily caught, and considering what they did to Erik, I was surprised when Godric kept saying "they treated me very well." The scene between Erik and Godric broke me into little bitty pieces - would have it killed HBO to have them kiss? They aren't normally so particular about that are they? When he said "Vader, Bruder, Sonne" I was a lost mess. (Scuse spelling, any Scandinavian peeps)

SOB!!!!!!

Also loving the Hoyt/Jessica thing immensely. Really worrying that will end up a Romeo and Juliet thing and that Mrs Hoyt will arrange something horrible.

Lafayette rocks.

and DAYUM. NAKED ERIK?????? That man has one FINE body. *fans self*

*thinking of the male gay sex in Alan Ball's other HBO series*

No, that had to be a writer/director choice there cause HBO lets its all hang out.

Very good eppy, looking forward to next week and season 3 starts filming in Dec!

The entire Godric death scene was magnificent. Big strong Erik reduced to tears and ordered away. Sookie talking with him and crying, lending humanity to his death. Amazing stuff. And I wasn't dry-eyed either.

Hoyt and Jessica are the most amazing couple. I love to watch them. And the struggle over perpetual virginity is hilarious, though not to them.

I'm getting really tired of Maryann and I'm really looking forward to her comeuppance (tho I think the actress is doing a fantastic job, and truly seems to be having fun with it). I really liked that Sam went to Andy for help, the only guy who might believe him.

This is my favorite show of the summer season, with Burn Notice second in line (but it's already done).

it was tremendous, and the dynamic, Godric clearly being the Dom in the relationship was amazing. I'd so like to have seen more of them. It was quite a nice death from a viewer's perspective, like ascending rather than melting, which young Bill seemed to do. *sniff*

I'm sick of Maryann too, although I can't - like you - fault the acting of any of it.

I'm guessing that Andy - for some reason - is unaffected by her powers, Sam is too, it seems, so I wonder if Andy has powers of his own he doesn't know about.

I've just finished season 1 of Burn Notice, really enjoying it!

Or perhaps he's just been beneath her notice, being on the outs with Sheriff Bud (Hi, Larry!). I don't think it's the alcoholism that's protecting him.

Erik does look wonderful naked (and I'm straight), and so does Sookie. That dream was a memorable one. That was a dirty trick he played. Sookie better be more careful if she's going to play with vampires.

Season 1 of BN was great. I want to go back and watch them again. My other partner is just starting to watch them, and I'm getting my thrills vicariously. I can't wait for next season.

That was far more than crying on Erik's part. It was a primal wail, and was heart wrenching.

Is anyone other than me astonished to know that Alexander Skarsgard is a native Swede? I've never heard a non-native English speaker who didn't give themselves away at least a little when speaking.

Amazing.

As for the kissing, believe me when I say that I was praying for it; but it would have been utterly wrong.

Father, brother, son implies nothing of the sort, and the depth of their love, minus any erotic attraction, is all the more moving for that.

yes - you are right, in retrospect i realised that a kiss would have been wrong, it would have equalised their relationship and it's anything but that. I took Father, Brother, Son to mean that they were everything to each other, imagine that for 1000 years.

I knew he was a native swede, but hadn't thought about it, just assumed he'd been raised in America.

A wonderful wonderful scene. I must go and watch it again.

I knew that Godric/Erik scene was going to hit you hard. I thought it was handled absolutely perfectly (though yeah, a kiss would have been nice).

Such a fabulous show!

I'd just like to have seen more of Godric, I suppose - I can only hope we get some flashbacks, as he was fascinating when he made Erik - but perhaps that will all be a bit Buffy/Interview...

Love Godric to PIECES.
