Do not read Quest Walkthroughs after you’ve just done a quest.

As I’ve said before, I’m not a huge fan of RPGs in general (all the geeky statistics bore me) but I’ve been slowly advancing with Oblivion, finding quests and doing them without any help and have got to level five. I have a nifty fireball which kills off anything on my level usually with one blast. (yeah - one spell, pathetic isn’t it?)  Yesterday I completed a quest and I was so proud of myself for not only doing it without any bloodshed, not getting arrested pleasing the (rather handsome) captain of the guard (my avatar is a lovely girly boy) AND stealing a load of loot without anyone noticing. End result: Ulrich--the corrupt ex-captain of the guard is thrown into prison. Hurrah!

Then I made the mistake of reading the quest walkthrough—just to make sure I’d done all I could do…And found this:

“It might be worth saving this quest until after XXX quest as Ulrich is a handy man to have in a fight and can’t be killed.”

ARGH.  And I’ve had him thrown in jail. buggerit.  And now I’m an Assassin and I’ve joined a shady Assassin cult and I get to wear cool black. Whee!

oo! I just won a small lottery prize – I got three numbers!  I haven’t had three numbers for ages. It’s only a tenner, but it’s better than a punch on the nose!

Don't worry too much about Ulrich; he's useful in that other battle, but not important to it.
