I was going to call him Yarg, but I think it has to be The Eternal Cheese.

The next one can be Yarg.

Fab post, thank you for pointing it out. At some point I'll devote a bit of time to figuring out how to keep up with non-lj blogs without having to keep them open in a tab!

Put all your non-LJ blogs onto your flist!

Go to www.livejournal.com/syn

Go to the bottom of the page

paste the full URL of the blog into the box at the bottom

e.g. http://www.reviewsbyjessewave.com/ (don't forget the http:// and the / at the end)

click "add feed"

on the next page, call it what you like e.g. Jessewave or whatever

click "create feed"

and bingo! it will be on your freinds list.

You can do this for just about ANY blog, wordpress, blogger, websites etc. And have them all on one page.

You make that sound so simple... I remember being utterly confused when I tried to read the LJ instructions on doing that...

Yes, thank you as well for plugging your blog post. I have a difficult time keeping up with blogs outside of LJ--only so many hours in a day!

Excellent article!

Cheers!

Sorry to butt in, but this used to be my issue too until I figured out there was a livejournal feed for jessewaves blog. I've since removed it (not able to have random naked men appear on my work computer) but I'm sure E can point you in the right direction.

This is LJ account is my nom de plume under which I write so I could actually set up the naughtier blogs here--I rarely, if ever log into it at work. LOL The journal isn't SFW.

But oh to have random naked men on my computer screen at work. Heh. ;)

LOL Yes, I should do this! I have a few set up in my personal journal. I never thought of setting them up here (probably because there was an expanse of time where I wasn't logging into this journal).

Thanks for the reminder!

It's invaluable to me. I don't have the time - or the memory capacity - to remember who I want to follow, and I can't be arsed to go six places to find feeds etc.

:)

Nice explanations of class vs. money on the blog, thank you. There's so many subtleties just between different parts of America, let alone different parts (Wales, anybody??) on your side of the water. For an American, it just points to the importance of a beta-reader who does Britpicking if you're going to write a UK character.

Thanks dear - it's a huge subject and one that must be incomprehensible to many--but when writing gay historicals set in England, so many writers get it wrong. I didn't want to point out the wrong, though - too much wank on the net as it is!

hey poppet,

wanted to add: Remains of the Day and (as I said in email) Withnail and I. Even though Withnail is modern, the class distinction is very very well done.

MWAH..

Me.
