Update on the Kitties

For those of you who didn't see I rang today for these two boys and when I got home the foster mum rang me to say that

1. yes they were still available and
2. I could have them and
3. I could pick them up on Sunday!

A bit worrying as i was expecting a home-check (and was panicking about the head high nettle garden and the non-tidy house) but still... I could have been a cat -curry fetishist or a vivisectionist.

However - less tidying is always good. and Kitties, particularly black and white kitties are even better. I didn't like to tell them that as Lili is white and my LJ is black and white.... *G* Got to blend in, dahling...

So. Names. Judging by "Piglet's" expression, I'm leaning towards Lucius and Severus at the moment (I know.. I know...) and before you all jump down my neck and say "But Severus should be black" JKR has already affirmed that Severus is GOOD. (damn him). So SYMBOLICALLY he's white. With a few black blodges. And Lucius has less black blodges (even though he's darker) because he works harder at looking innocent.

What? WHAT? I can't be illogical? You HAVE READ The Half-Dead Prince, haven't you?

My god, I'm so out of touch. YAY NEW KITTIES! And they're SO cute. You've obviously worked very hard on justifying those names to yourself so well done. Very convincing. *snicker*

2 pics just sent. Hope they're not too big, I smallerised them as much as I could.

And OMG that is just so cool! I wonder how much they'll go for? I'm seriously tempted to bid on something.

(I want to call the baby Lily but since it's my nan's name it would cause too much political friction with my other grandmother so I can't. SUCKFEST. I could call her Bellatrix or Narcissa but I think social services might just lock me up for such cruelty.)

I've never had one grandparent, so am very jealous!

The other grandmother is called Mary and they hate each other. Even if I called the baby Lily Mary there would be issues (will strikings, no more xmas presents etc) with which name came first. Drives me nuts.

That's such a shame that you haven't had grandparents. You've missed out on years of being alternately spoilt rotten and slagged off to hell ('Here's £20, buy yourself something nice or maybe get a haircut, you always look such a mess'). And the gems they come out with! I could fill a book with fabulous quotes from my grandparents.
