On Teddypig’s recommendation and yes, it’s rather nice!  I got a bargain copy for three quid.  I’m not a great fan of first person shooters, mainly because I’m pretty bad at them, (in Half-Life for example I have real trouble hitting ANYTHING.) but so far this seems quite forgiving (ok, you know me too well, I’m playing on easy.) The city where I’ve ended up (Rapture) is under the sea and is so beautiful I’m too busy gawking at the Art Deco beauty of it, rather than looking out for the monsters. But PRETTY, definitely, although so far it feels like a rather slightly upgraded and smoother Half Life—probably uses the same engine or something? I know nothing from engines.

Watched “Taken” last night—I think it did nothing at the box office here to mention, probably because people don’t want to see Liam Neeson killing everyone in sight, but I really enjoyed it!  :D

On with the edit of Muffled Drum…

I use the word “something” far far too much. It’s such a horrible NON word, I shouldn’t be using it at all.  Also “THAT” i use far far too much.

this excerpt is simply horrible. Please shoot me. or something!!!

There was nothing to be done, Mathias knew that. If the doctors in Berlin could do something—or if by some miracle something changed on the road--that was the best he could hope for.

Just watched a section of Tilly Trotter and found this scene rather amusing. I MEAN – really. Do honest peasants really walk around looking like leather bar wet dreams?

I suspect the peasants in Monty Python and the Holy Grail are more true to type...

And how is Bioshock going? Remember it takes a while to get into but once you start getting a feel for the the storyline you can get addicted.

I haven't got any further with it yet - I have another day off tomorrow, so once I get some editing done, I'm going to have another go at it. I had to laugh that I gave myself the first bio injection without anyone telling me to - typical "oh gee, look here's a hypodermic, let's inject myself and see what happens!"
