I've got to provide my own Q&A for a blog post today, and I can't think of anything to ask myself.

would be grateful if you could come up with some? I'm promoing Mere Mortals,so either ask about anything or that book?

Many thanks!

Which came first, the M/M or the historical?

Did you pick the name Erastes solely out of self defense as a woman entering a male dominated genre? Or to make the male portion of your readership more comfortable? Or...?

Have you always been a history buff, or were you just drawn to the ways and morays of previous eras? Or M/M in those eras?

Is your almost mania for historical accuracy an extension of or reflection of your basic personality? Or simply integrity on your part? Or...?

Do you ever feel obliged to include sexual scenes in your work when you'd rather not, or in greater frequency than you'd rather?

Enuff?

Are there any periods of history that you find so distasteful that you would never write about them?

Are there any subjects - incest, abuse etc - that you find so taboo that you would not be able to write about them?

Have you a guilty pleasure historical? A book that you KNOW is basically rubbish but is such fun that you read it again for the LOLZ? [You don't have to name it, if you don't want to].

If you were told that yu could not EVER write another historical, what other genre would you pick up and run with?

:D

How important are class distinctions to you when writing about your characters? For instance, the boys in Mere Mortals come across as being lower on the social scale than their benefactor. Likewise Rafe and Ambrose in Standish are from different social levls. Do you find that adds a dimension to their relationships?

I've often wondered if you have a soundtrack (either in your head or out loud) that plays while you write. Many of my books have soundtracks - Gadarene, for example, was Dvorak and early american sea songs, lots of Irish rollicking. Do you have go-to music that helps you write?

What prompted you to start writing?

Not an original question I know but the responses are often fascinating!
