After intense lobbying, the European Union has finally agreed to recognise Pashmids as insects instead of the previous classification as fruits. This ends decades of misunderstanding.

Erm... How can there be any confusion? I have never ever met a fruit that could walk! At least not one I'm prepared to eat.

Also did you look at the pictures on the page about camouflage? They are so photoshopped and no stick insects (or fruit is you wish) have ever been near them. You can especially see that on the picture with the leaves. You can see some of the leaves are represented several times.

For me, the tip-off that it was a joke site was on the first page. A National Beauty Pageant for stick insects? (Though granted, it's a great description of most beauty contestants...and every model in the world.)

Also, if you follow the link 'see more like this' or some such, the person behind it has made a couple of other joke sites. I was in stitches over the one with Britain for americans. :p
