For me, the tip-off that it was a joke site was on the first page. A National Beauty Pageant for stick insects? (Though granted, it's a great description of most beauty contestants...and every model in the world.)

Also, if you follow the link 'see more like this' or some such, the person behind it has made a couple of other joke sites. I was in stitches over the one with Britain for americans. :p
