*sob* I’m on the last ten pages of Junction X, the first major edit—should only need a bit of polishing after this—and it’s bloody hard to do. It’s just so harrowing. Ack. I need to write a nice bit of fluffy HEA after this. Because Mere Mortals was dark, I Knew Him isn’t a bag of balloons and Junction X. Well, I’ve thrown out enough hints.

*fret* I think I’m going to have to pull out of the Romance Conference later in the month. The logistics, what with dog, vaccinations, dad, cats etc are proving to be too much of a worry. I’d like to go for Friday night to Sunday morning, with the animals all in kennels, but I can’t do that this year as the cats aren’t vaccinated. Going there just for the day is going to prove far too stressful, and will mean two nights in kennels for Sasha. So I’m going to have to email my apologies. It’s a shame, because I think it’s going to be a big deal—but I’ll plan better for next year and treat myself to the whole thing. I’ve paid in advance so that’s a bugger. Don’t know if I can get my money back.

*confused* I had a confirmation email from RWA saying that Mere Mortals had been entered into the Ritas and then 3 mins later I had an email from someone called Donna saying that it hadn’t been entered. So I don’t know where I am with that…

*relieved* it’s cooler today, thank goodness! Not used to 30 degrees in October, thank you so much!
