I don't think that was a quote from the book. The Beavers never said "tame lion" in the books, I think, only in the recent movie. Lucy asked if he was a tame lion, but there wasn't an answer like that. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Yes, I'm fairly sure it's a direct quote, I think it's said several times by several people - Mr Tumnus definitely says it and its said in The Final Battle by the ape I'm sure. I think Mr Beaver says "Safe? Who said anything about safe? Of course he's not safe. He's not a tame lion. But he's good."

and then at the end:

"He'll be coming and going," he had said. "One day you'll see him and another you won't. He doesn't like being tied down and of course he has other countries to attend to. It's quite all right. He'll often drop in. Only you mustn't press him. He's wild, you know. Not like a tame lion."
