Apr. 1st, 2006 03:21 pmHappy birthday to
interlock and
alessia_brio
I've just submitted my "Love in a Lock-up" Query to STARbooks. Now I have to sit around and fret. *crosses fingers*
I had to laugh at this, which was included in duotrope's newsletter today.
Prairie Fire. From the publisher: "Prairie Fire publishes literary, not commercial writing. If you are a beginning writer, study your craft. Lean from good writers, and consult them before you submit."
A lesson for us all I think. *laughs*

Unfortunately, the writers I want to emulate are not only no longer productive, but also too dated in writing style. ^^;

And no - I didn't get them to shag. I managed to find a way round it, simply the anthology only wanted five paragraphs as a query submission, so I did some lustful leering in the showers with descriptions of cocks and asses (had to use the ass word as they were in america) and sent that off. I'll do the sex IF it gets accepted.
*hopes*
