The Eyre Affair

erastesSo, I started to read "The Eyre Affair" last night and I simply could not could not put it down. I read over half before I passed off, book on my face. Utterly loving it. It's interesting to see the other side of the argument and having a man writing a female perspective - due to my reading habits over the last few years I haven't encountered this for a while, and I don't think he quite gets it "right" hee hee. But I'm not complaining, it's still a great read.
Oh and FINALLY I see where JKR got her Camping Trip from HELL idea from for Deathly Hallows, as this is one of the lines in The Eyre Affair"
"Backpacking in the Forest of Dean? Whatever made him do a thing like that?"
Well, he didn't steal the idea from someone else, apparently!
I also laughed like a DRAIN at the explanation for why apostrophes appear all over the place in the wrong places e.g "Cauliflower's Two Pound's"
And I agree with people. Animated Batman is the best characterisation. YUM.
