Double Upstairs Downstairs. Bliss
Jun. 6th, 2009 11:58 amI’m reading The Facts of Life by Patrick Gale which is an interesting departure for me, although I know it has a gay theme running throughout, even if it’s very hidden in the first section, it reads – and is, I suppose – like one of those sweeping family sagas, and that’s just something I’m so bored with. I spent so many years reading them in the 80’s – there was a positive rash of them after A Woman of Substance – that I went off them, and The Facts of Life really brings to mind why. I am just not interested in the minutiae of people’s lifes, nappies, childbirth, commuting blah blah. I’m just not a kitchen sink reader I suppose. It’s the same thing with films too, Mother was always making faces when I told her I was going to see yet another Sci-fi or fantasy film, but life is depressing enough, I don’t need to go and see it for entertainmnet (most of the time.)
I’ve been playing with Google Earth this morning, it’s so fabulous. I’ve been stalking people’s houses – people I know their addresses, anyway.
asphodeline your road looks like Ramsey Street! Hayden Thorne, you live in such a lovely location!! I adore maps so much. CONTINUES STALKING
I had a record number of applicants to join the Erotic Author’s Association last month, so it’s going to take me a while to put your details up on the page, so bear with me and be a little patient.
