Just watched V for Vendetta.
Just. Wow.
Very glad I didn't read the graphic novels first, because I'm such a canon nazi and I'd hate the changes that are undoubtedly there but omg what a brilliant concept. Written in the '80's but even more relevant today.
I didn't realise it was Weaving under the mask - I couldn't imagine who it was.
Now I want to watch it all over again! I certainly will before I take the DVD back tomorrow.

Date: 2006-10-01 12:19 pm (UTC)Hugo Weaving was splendid - I feel utterly privileged to have seen him live, and as I think I said in my short review on the other journal, Natalie Portman redeemed herself from the appalling wooden acting in Star Wars.
